Dru Yoga with Christine Leedy

Dru Yoga with Christine Leedy

Project Description

I’m all chilled and full of Zen after this job .  Christine’s Yoga site needed a re-vamp.  Not only was her previous WordPress theme a little old fashioned, it had also had no updates for probably more than 3 years which meant it’s old code and pagebuilder were starting to develop problems (WordPress 5.5 update jQuery Conflict – I’m looking at you 🙂 ). So she came to me for a new theme installation.

The theme was chosen and installed and the old page builder code removed from the pages.  We then realised that this was a great opportunity to not only update all the content, but redesign all the pages & posts.  The Amelia bookings plugin was chosen to provide an online booking system with Zoom integration and the dependable old WooCommerce plugin for e-commerce functionality so that Christine can sell her yoga classes online.  The site also needed to be multilingual, just to give us an added level of  complexity.  Polylang to the rescue again!

So what was a simple theme installation turned into a full website rebuild and a two day job ran into a couple of weeks.

I very much enjoyed working with Christine to develop what I think is a fantastic looking site.  I’m hoping she’ll be able to make use of the tips & tricks I passed on during our training sessions. I’m also very happy our working relationship will continue as I provide her with ongoing WP maintenance and support services.

I am so, so grateful to Miriam from WPMeer.com for making my new website with a booking and payment system possible. She coded, problem-solved, optimized, held my hand, and did a zillion other things I know nothing about.

This is my third website with Miriam, and I am always amazed by her. She listens to my needs, asks questions I wouldn’t have thought of asking, and proposes solutions. If I am not satisfied with something, she’ll find a way to make it work. I find it important to have a good website as a business owner, but I also know it’s hard for me. I don’t have the IT skills to maintain it myself. Miriam is always there for me. I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else.
